Power Engineer at Västervik Miljö & Energi AB

Västervik Miljö & Energi AB is currently looking for a driven and hands-on power engineer to help develop our local power grid. This role involves a mix of preparation, planning, and collaboration with both internal teams and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

Your main tasks will consist of preparation and planning for renovations and new constructions in our local network. You will work both independently and in teams with colleagues and suppliers. The network, which is a 0.4/10 kV network, consists of both cables and overhead lines that we largely build and operate with our own staff. The role involves frequent contact with suppliers, authorities, landowners, and our installers. In the long term, you will also be part of our emergency response team.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university or high school education with a focus on power engineering. Previous experience in practical power engineering work is considered an advantage. Since we work with several different computer systems, computer literacy is a requirement.

We value someone who is clear in their communication, both verbally and in writing. Beyond the technical requirements, we place great emphasis on your personality and how you function in a team. We are looking for someone who is hands-on, service-oriented, meticulous, and comfortable working both in a team and independently. You are positive, engaged, and contribute to a good work climate.

• A valid B-class driver's license is required.
• A probationary period will be applied.
• The position may be classified as a wartime position in the company's wartime organization.
